Ethel J. (Cofsky) Markunas, 88, died Monday, Nov. 28th, 2011 in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.

Her husband, Charles A. Markunas died in 1987. She leaves a daughter, Elizabeth Lewis and her husband, Richard of Worcester; a son, David P. Markunas and his wife, Judith of Worcester; a sister, Helen White of Millbury; nephews and nieces. She was born in Millbury and is predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Catherine (Ryan) Cofsky and a brother, Edward C. Cofsky.

She was a member of St. Brigid Church and the Millbury Council on Aging.

Ethel’s funeral will be held Friday, Dec. 2nd from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1st in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society of St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St., Millbury, MA 01527.
