Subscription Update Obituary

Estelle Ann (Bielack) Korp Monroe, 91, of Worcester, a former 60 year resident of Auburn, died Friday in Radius Healthcare in Worcester, after an illness.

Her husband, Paul L. Monroe, predeceased her in 1993. She leaves her children, Carl A. Korp, of Granberry, TX, Susan E. Ozcan, of Worcester, Patricia A. Booth, of Sterling, Ethel C. Cote, of Wolfborough, NH, and a sister, Alice Keith, of Thompson, CT. Other members of her family include 23 adoring grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by sons, Paul A. Monroe and Dennis M. Monroe, and brothers, Joseph, Ralph and Carl Bielack, and a sister, Genevieve Garneau Fortin.

She was born in Hadley, MA, the daughter of the late John and Catherine (Kurash) Bielack and was educated in Worcester schools.

Mrs. Monroe worked for many years for Stanley Home Products both as a Home Demonstrator and District Manager. After her retirement in the mid 1970's she volunteered at Saint Joseph's Church Thrift Store, and also as a van driver for the Auburn Senior Citizens Center.

She enjoyed cooking, knitting and dancing to polkas.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, from 9-10:30 AM Tuesday. A funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM in Saint Joseph Church, 189 Oxford Street, Auburn. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
