Subscription Update Obituary

   Ernest E. Plaud Sr., 67, of Worcester died on Thursday, October 25 in Saint Vincent Hospital after an illness.

   Mr. Plaud is survived by his wife of 46 years, Shirley M. (Burbo) Plaud of Worcester; a son, Christopher J. Plaud of Worcester; two daughters, Karen M. Jasper of Worcester and Pamela A. Brayton of Webster; his mother, Alberta (Cormier) Travers of Oxford; a brother, Albert Plaud of Worcester; a sister, Leah Rice of Oxford; 6 grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Mr. Plaud was born in Worcester son of Phillip R. Plaud and is predeceased by a son, Ernest E. Plaud Jr., two brothers, Phillip and Robert Plaud and a sister, Louise Barrett.

   Mr. Plaud worked for the Norton – Saint Gobain Co. in the Abrasives Division for over 25 years retiring in 2002. He was a member and Past President of the Century Sportsman's Club and also enjoyed bowling, hunting and watching NASCAR. Ernest was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox as well.

   A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, October 31 at 10 AM in St. Peter's Church 931 Main Street. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are on Sunday, October 28 in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond St. from 6 to 8 PM.
