Subscription Update Obituary

     Ernest C. Erickson Jr., 85, formerly of Greendale Ave. in Worcester died on August 20, 2007.
    
He leaves his wife of 65 years, Charlotte (Gifford) Erickson; a son, Donald Erickson & his wife Gloria of Barre; two daughters, Charlotte Corry & her husband Robert of Brimfield and Marion Chenard of Worcester; a sister, Carolyn Knapp of LA; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by son-in-law James Chenard who died in Dec. 2006.
    
Mr. Erickson was a WWII Army Air Corp Veteran. He worked for Norton Co. in Worcester as a safety engineer for over 30 years until he retired.
    
Mr. Erickson was a member of the Greendale Peoples Church, the Boylston Lodge of Masons and was a Boyscout Leader in Worcester for several years. He was an avid reader and he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
    
The funeral will be held on Saturday Aug. 25, 2007 at 11:00 AM in Pillsbury Funeral Home, 96 S. Barre Rd., Barre. A calling hour will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 72 Cambridge St., Worcester, MA 01603 or the Alzheimers Assoc. of MA, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
