Subscription Update Obituary

Eric C. Johnson, 38, of Leicester died Saturday, November 4th surrounded by family and close friends after a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma.

Eric is survived by his father and mother, Eric G. and Ruth L. Johnson of Jefferson; a brother, Brent Johnson of Revere, a sister, Linn Harvey her husband, Scott Harvey and their sons, Brandin and Nathan Harvey of Westminster; his grandmother, Elin A. Johnson of Holden; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Eric was born and raised in Holden. He graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in Holden, and attended Worcester State College, Cape Cod Community College, and Quinsigamond Community College. Eric worked for Consumer Auto Parts in Worcester for the past 10 years. He enjoyed being with his friends, his work, loved working on cars, hunting, cooking, and baking at Christmas.

Eric's family would like to thank Steve, Mike, Chuck, Patty, and Joe and all his friends for their support. To his family away from home, the Staff of the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit and Cancer Clinic at UMass, especially Tara, Thank you.

The funeral service for Eric will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 8 in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 8. Please omit flowers. The family requests donations be made to the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, UMass Memorial Hospital-University Campus, 55 Lake Avenue North, Worcester, MA 01655 or to Oakdale United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, North Main Street, West Boylston, MA 01583.
