I Renee Boulanger Nickerson, have so much to be grateful for in my father. These are just some of the reasons: Emile J Boulanger is my father and the first good man I have ever loved. It’s because of the man he is and the example he set, that I am able to love with deep passion and appreciation. At 41 years old, I’m still “daddy’s little girl”, and you know what, I love it. I did not enter the world through his body, but I entered the world through his heart. The bond we shared is unlike any other connection. ♦◊♦ Dad, I love you for an infinite number of reasons. I feel so blessed to have you as my father and I’m thankful for the wonderful life you have given me. In honor of You, a magnificent man, a loyal, devoted father, wonderful Pepe and a true friend. Please know that my list of gratitude is endless... Thank you for knowing you wanted to be a father. Thank you for providing me with a never-ending sense of physical safety and emotional security whenever I’m with you, even if we are with my husband. Thank you for constantly showering me with heartfelt hugs and kisses. Thank you for encouraging me to play on the boys basketball team, in Michigan because there was not a girl’s baseball team for my age group. Thank you for helping me with my "French" homework that I had no clue about!! Still don't, till this day! Thank you for bus money in Michigan, so we didn't have to eat Mac and cheese... Another day!!! Thank you for leaving work early to watch me play sports, and thank you for always cheering so loud that I knew it was undeniably your voice emanating from the bleachers. Thank you for raising me to be a die-hard Boston Celtic fan. Larry bird! #33 🙂 Thank you for being an overprotective father. Thank you for teaching me the power of humor and how to effectively tell a joke. Thank you for teaching me the significance of “knowing my audience”, and when appropriate, the power of dropping a well enunciated f-bomb in proper company. Thank you for making me laugh so hard when you asked my neighbor if she ever had sausage in a can!!! Thank you for always telling me I am beautiful. Thank you for telling me what a wonderful mother I am. Thank you for taking me to work when I was 3 years old and couldn't be left alone. Thank you for teaching me the importance of humility, and the remarkable power of emotional and financial generosity. Thank you for stressing the importance of education. Thank you for telling me to “shake it off” when you knew I was not in dire physical pain. Thank you for embarrassing me in front of my friends and yelling at them at the top of your lungs. Thank you for the memories of leaning out the station wagon window—is permanently seared into my memory. Thank you for teaching me important things. Thank you for being strict with me and showing up at the Oxford drive in to take me home! Thank you for never lying to me. Thank you for loving your family and teaching me the importance of loving those who are not like you. Thank you for loving and accepting my husband. Thank you for loving and accepting me and always making me feel like I am good enough. Thank you for showing me what is means to be a good man, a great teacher, an extraordinary grandfather and an outstanding father for the past 41 years of my life. I love you and miss you, Dad.

I know your gone but i am not alone, you are in my heart like it is etched in stone. Butterflies all around me, your smell is in the air, pennies falling from heaven, I know you are really here. So until we see each other again I will carry you everywhere <3. Love Michelle
