Elvira (Casale) Sharistanian, 89, formerly of 97 Brooks Street, died peacefully on March 21, 2006 at the Brandon Woods Retirement Community, Lawrence, Kansas, where she moved in July 1999.

Elvira’s husband of 50 years Arthur J. Sharistanian died September 13, 1991. She leaves a daughter, Janet Sharistanian of Lawrence; many nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Mary D. Simonelli and Ann E. Moninski; and two brothers, Daniel J. and Joseph A. Casale pre deceased her. She was born in Watertown, daughter of Philomena (Paluso) and Rocco Casale, and lived in Worcester most of her life. Mrs. Sharistanian graduated from Commerce High School and Becker Junior College. She was a retail manager and a secretary in Horsching, Austria; Brunswick, Maine; Worcester and Holden. She was a former member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church.
