Elsie O. Kay, 99, of Worcester died on Monday, June 23, 2008 at the UMass Memorial Healthcare- Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late David John Kay.

   Born in England she was the daughter of the late Harry and Fanny (Law) Halliday. She came to the United States in 1912 and was educated in Worcester schools.

   Mrs. Kay was a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Worcester, was a homemaker dedicated to her home and family and an avid Square Dancer.

   She is survived by two daughters, Joan K. Taylor of Westborough and Susan E. Carr of Meriden, CT, four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

   She was the sister of the late Frank Halliday.

   Funeral services and interment will be private.

   In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114.

   Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough.
