Subscription Update Obituary

Elsie Marie (Spence) McGough passed away and went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 4, 2006. She was surrounded by her loving family at Kindred Hospital, also known as Park View Rehabilitation Hospital in Leicester, after fighting emphysema.

She leaves two daughters, Ann Bastien and her husband Robert of Woodstock, CT, and Rachel Milkani and her husband Eftim of Worcester; five grandchildren, Christina, Jonathan, Audray, Regina and Sabrina; and her former husband, Bernard Leo McGough, a retired professor in the Media Department at Worcester State College, of Millbury. She also leaves relatives in Western Massachusetts. She was born in Holyoke, daughter of Edward and Frances (Sudbury) Spence on September 4, 1929.

She enjoyed being a homemaker, was a kind, giving, and loving person who loved to help people and praise the Lord. She was a lifetime member of the Roman Catholic Church and was a devoted Catholic. She will be missed by all her friends at St. Paul's, Notre Dame and St. John's prayer groups, and will be forever missed and loved by her family.

A funeral Mass will be held at Notre Dame Church, Salem Square, Worcester, on Tuesday, December 12 at 9:00 a.m. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours. Donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. RICE FUNERAL HOME, 300 Park Ave, is directing arrangements.
