Subscription Update Obituary

   Elsie G. (Haglund) Perron, 85, died Saturday, March 29, 2008 at home.

   Her husband of 49 years, Albert M. Perron died in 1994. She was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1922, daughter of Knute M. and Elsa (Nielson) Haglund. She has lived in Worcester since 1934.

   She leaves a son, Albert H. Perron and his wife Diane of Rochdale; two daughters, Susan G. Combs of Uxbridge and Nancy E. George and her husband Daniel of Leicester. She also leaves eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

   Her three brothers, Knute R., Karl E.T., and Edward G. Haglund; her granddaughter, Linda N. Combs and son-in-law Douglas Combs predeceased her.

   Her greatest love was her family. Nana loved all the children and was always happy to see them. She also loved her Red Sox and was so happy when they won the World Series. She waited a long time for that.

   Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at 1:30 in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester, MA 01605. Burial will be at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Calling hours are Tuesday, April 1, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Flowers may be sent or donations can be made to VNA Care Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608.
