Subscription Update Obituary

   Elmer R. Burbo, 78, of 10 Henry Terrace, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, in St. Vincent Hospital after an illness.


   He leaves his wife, Agnes A. (Hildreth) Burbo; two sons, Richard P. Burbo of Worcester and Elmer R. Burbo Jr. of Texas; nine daughters, Nancy Burke, Shirley Plaud, Marie Ames, Claire Baez, Shelia Colby, Agnes and Judith Burbo, all of Worcester, and Sandra Carey and Linda St. Germain, both of Spencer; two sisters, Florence Jenny of Worcester and Viola LaMotte of Burlington, Vt.; 43 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren.  He was born in Burlington, Vt., son of Frank J. and Selina (Colidgel) Burbo, and lived in Worcester for many years.


   Mr. Burbo worked for the Kileen Machine Tool Co. as a machine operator for 10 years, and later worked as a security guard for 10 years at Cherry and Webb in Auburn. He was an avid bowler and coin collector.


   Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, in Graham Putnam and Mahoney Funeral Home, 838 Main St.  There will be a funeral service at 8 p.m. Firday, Dec. 3, in the funeral home.  Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
