Subscription Update Obituary

    Ellen G. (Morgan) Ostergard, 72, of Worcester died Friday, October 2 in the Kindred Hospital.

    Her husband Louis E. Ostergard, Sr. died in 1995. She leaves two children, Louis E. Ostergard, Jr. and his wife, Jerri of West Boylston and Kathleen E. Duvarney of Worcester; two grandchildren, Danny and Jessica; two brothers, James Morgan of Millbury and Francis Morgan of Worcester; a sister, Mary Weir of Northboro and nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Roderick J. Morgan, Jr. and John Morgan predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Roderick J. Morgan, Sr. and Margaret E. (Bagin) Morgan and graduated from Commerce High School.

    Ellen was a school crossing guard for many years, for the City of Worcester, prior to that she was a cashier for First National Stores. She was a member of Saint Christopher's Church and it's Retiree's Club. She was an avid Red Sox fan and loved bowling. She also loved summering at Hampton Beach. Ellen especially enjoyed spending time and caring for her grandchildren and she took great pride in all their accomplishments.

    The family would like to thank the staffs at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Kindred Hospital for all their loving care.

    The funeral will be held Monday, October 5 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Christopher's Church, 950 West Boylston St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting Hours are Sunday, October 4 from 2 to 5 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Christopher's Church, 950 West Boylston St., Worcester, 01606.
