Subscription Update Obituary

   Ellen C. (Annesty) Chrobak, 83, of Auburn, died Wednesday evening, May 14th in her daughter’s home in Charlton after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family.

   Her husband of 52 years, Karoll G. Chrobak died in 2002. She leaves her children, Mark K. Chrobak of Douglas and Linda A. Leonard of Charlton; a sister, Patricia Roy of Worcester; 4 grandchildren, Melissa and Matthew Leonard and Jaclyn and Joshua Chrobak and 2 great grandchildren, Cruze and Casen Leonard and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, George and Robert Annesty.

   Mrs. Chrobak was born in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Frances (Corcoran) Annesty. Ellen attended the Worcester School System and graduated from David Hale Fanning Trade School. She has lived in Auburn for the past 56 years where she was a member of Saint Joseph’s Parish.

   She had worked as a sales clerk for Jordan Marsh and Barnard’s Departments Stores before she retired in 1990 after many faithful years of service.

   Ellen enjoyed reading, shopping and was known for her kindness and generosity towards others. Her favorite thing to do was spending time with her family.

   Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Ellen’s family on Sunday, May 18th from 2:00-5:00 PM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 19th at 11 AM in Saint Joseph’s Church, 198 Oxford Street North, Auburn. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
