Subscription Update Obituary

     Elinor (Richardson) Brown, 81, of Intervale Rd., died peacefully on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at UMass Memorial Healthcare, Belmont St. Campus. She was born in Worcester the daughter of Elmer C. and Ida F. (McHenry) Richardson, and has lived in Rutland for the last 47 years.
     Her devoted husband of 25 years, Francis S. Brown, died in 1980. Elinor is survived by her loving sons, Jeffrey Brown of Templeton, James Brown of Rutland and Jon Brown of Franklin; a brother, John Richardson and his wife Mary of East Falmouth; three grandchildren, Stephanie, Nicole and Matthew; three great-grandchildren, Amanda, Brooke, and Colton; and several nieces and nephews.
     After graduating from North High School in Worcester Elinor went on to work as a bookkeeper for several Worcester area companies. She later drove a school bus for the Mac-Mae Bus Co. in Hubbardston. Elinor was active in the Rutland Historical Society and loved spending time with her family.
     Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by a funeral service, on Friday, October 19, 2012, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. Interment will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Autism Speaks, 5455 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 2250, Los Angeles, CA 90036.
