Eleanor M. (Centracchio) Buchinskas, 87, formerly of Barre, died Sunday, Oct. 8, at Palm Manor Nursing Home. She was the wife of Joseph G. Buchinskas, who died in 1990.

She was born in Barre on Dec. 4, 1918, daughter of the late Sabatino and Elizabeth (Iannetta) Centracchio. She was educated and raised in Barre. She moved to Chelmsford in 1990.

Mrs. Buchinskas was employed at the Barre Wool Co. She was a member of St. Mary Parish in Chelmsford.

Her survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and James Foley of Chelmsford; a sister-in-law, Frances Centracchio of Springfield, Va.; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Sara Sdoia of Dracut, Lucy and Frank Valente of South Barre, and Josephine Mansueti of Barre; three grandchildren and their spouses, Patricia and Donald Clarke of Victor, Idaho, Erica and Sean Smith of Hollis, N.H., and James Foley of Chelmsford; three great-grandchildren, Daniel and Caroline Smith, both of Hollis, N.H., and Hillary Clarke of Victor, Idaho; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also the sister of Richard Centracchio.
