Subscription Update Obituary

     Elda (Martin)Malesky, 91, a lifelong resident of Worcester died peacefully Thursday, May 16 at the Christopher House after a short illness.

     Her husband of 44 years, Adam Malesky died in 1994. She leaves a son, Richard Malesky of Worcester; a daughter, Susan Malesky of Tacoma, WA; four grandchildren, Richard Malesky, Jr. of Worcester, Adam Malesky of Bristow, VA, Sarah and Anna Malesky, MD of DeSoto, Tx; five great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Henry and Roubenia (Tchickekjian) Martin. A sister, Margaret Belles and four brothers, Reuben, William, Leon and Zareh predeceased her.

     Elda started her career at Wyman Gordons, where she met her husband. She also worked at Morse Shoe Co., CVS and Walgreens. She was an active member of the Armenian Church of Our Savior, its Women’s Guild and the Senior Avaks.

     Visiting Hours are Wednesday, May 22, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at CALLAHAN AND FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. According to the wishes of the family the funeral will be private in the Armenian Church of Our Savior. Burial will take place in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Armenian Church of Our Savior, 87 Salisbury St., Worcester, 01609.
