Edward P. Small, 71, of Charlton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, surrounded by his loving family. He was the cherished husband of Judy (Collette) Small.

Born in Waltham, Ed was a son of Anna (Commons) Small of Apache Junction, AZ, and the late Charles Small. He grew up in Weston, where he was raised and educated.

Before retiring, Ed worked as a service advisor for several car dealerships. He was known for his friendly manner, patience, and the genuine care he showed to customers and colleagues.

Ed found joy in spending time in his garage tinkering, fixing, and working on cars. Above all, he treasured time with his family, friends, and his beloved dog, Bentley.

In addition to his wife, Judy, and his mother, Anna, Ed is survived by his three children, Nicholas Small and his wife, Christina, of Danielson, CT, Jessica Small and her fiancé, Matthew, of Whitinsville, and Kaitlynn Collins and her husband, Jason, of Willington, CT. He also leaves behind seven adored grandchildren, Giovanni Haughey, Catalina Panczyk, Payton Small, Logan Collins, Ella Fryer, Charlotte Collins, and Emilia Fryer. Ed is also survived by two siblings, Thomas Small of Apache Junction, AZ, and Sally Sinclair and her partner, Ron, of Mendon, as well as several nieces and nephews.

His funeral service and burial will be held privately at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association via www.diabetes.org.

The Pickering & Son Upton Funeral Home is honored to assist the Small Family with arrangements.
