Edward F. Bennett Jr. 58, of Worcester, died peacefully Wednesday, February 21, at home surrounded by his family. Edward is survived by his wife of 22 years Diane M. (Wilson) Bennett of Worcester, his mother, Virginia (Lomoli) Silva and her husband Cirino, two sons, Terrance G. Bennett and his wife Maura of Rutland, Michael J. Bennett and his wife Donna, of Cleveland Ohio, a daughter, Robyn M. Lewis of Philadelphia, two brothers, Wayne Bennett and his wife Patricia of Brockton, and Manuel Silva and his wife Laura of St. Louis, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Edward was born in Worcester, son of the late Edward F. Bennett Sr. and has lived here all his life. He was a graduate of Burncoat High School, and attended Worcester Industrial Technical School. Edward received his Certification in Radiology from Quinsigamond Community College. Edward was a supervisor in the Cat Scan and Special Procedures department at St Vincent Hospital, Worcester Medical Center for 30 years, and was still working up until his illness.

Edward was a member of St Christopher's Church, and was on the Board Of Director's at the St. Vincent Hospital Credit Union, and was a member of the American Society Of Radiologic Technologist's of Massachusetts. Edward was a car enthusiast, and loved to travel, but most of all enjoyed being with his family. Edward and his wife Diane did volunteer work for the Diocese Of Worcester Ministry for remarried couples.

Edward's funeral will be held Saturday from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30AM in St Christophers Church. 950 West Boylston St. Calling hours in the funeral home are from 4-8PM on Friday. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Saint Vincent Hospital Medical Oncology Fund, 123 Summer St. Worcester, MA 01608, or to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St. Worcester, MA 01606.
