Subscription Update Obituary

Edna M. (Kennedy) Logan, 98, of Worcester, died Thursday, September 15th 2011, in the Christopher House. Her husband of 56 years, Leroy J. Logan, Sr., died in 1989.

She leaves three sons, Leroy J. Logan, Jr. and his wife Janice, Ronald E. Logan and his wife Ouida, and Alfred R. Logan, all of Worcester; a daughter, Norma L. Logan of Worcester; a sister, Jessie Delgado of Worcester; 23 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; a great-great grandson, with another expected in October; and a multitude of nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters, Alfred and William Kennedy, Harriet Stewart and Rose Johnson and a great grandson, Nathaniel Logan.

She was born in Camden, South Carolina, the daughter of Alfred and Hattie (Rainey) Kennedy and lived here most of her life. She graduated from Worcester Girls Trade School in 1931. Mrs. Logan was a member of Belmont A.M.E. Zion Church and enjoyed BINGO and cooking, especially pastries and candy.

The funeral service and burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society , 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, is directing arrangements.
