Subscription Update Obituary

Edna G. Crowley, age 89, died Nov. 10, 2011 at the Notre Dame Long Term Care Center.

Mrs. Crowley was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John M. Crowley in 2007.

She is survived by her children: John J. Crowley of Holden, Michael J. Crowley and his fiancee Leslie of Mystic, Conn., Dr. Claudia C. Collins of Las Vegas, Maureen M. Maidrand of Springfield, Vt. and Catherine M. Mills and her husband Jim of Worcester, ten grandchildren and two great-grandsons.

Mrs. Crowley was born in Clinton in 1922, daughter of Wellington and Helen (Polhemus) Wheeler and sister of Bill and Harry Webb. She was raised in Wilton, New Hampshire and moved to Worcester when she received a scholarship to Becker College upon high school graduation. After graduating from Becker, she worked for the college president and at the Worcester Rotary Club. She was the CFO of the Crowley-Moore Company.

Friends and relative are invited to visit Monday, Nov. 14 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster Street, Worcester. The funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Notre Dame Long Term Care Center, 559 Plantation St., Worcester 01605.
