  Edith M. (Hammarsten) Heiniluoma, 83, of 13 Lewis St., a Worcester school volunteer for many years, died yesterday in Memorial Hospital, Worcester, after an illness.She leaves her husband of 57 years, Onni I. Heiniluoma; a son, Robert O. Heiniluoma; two daughters, Nancy M. Kenney, and Lillian E. Goodman all of Rutland; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A sister, Elsa M. Anderson of Worcester, died last year. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Olaf and Ida Hammarsten, and lived here more than 50 years. She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester.
  
  Mrs. Heiniluoma once worked at the Veterans Administration Hospital here. She was then a volunteer for many years in the special education program for the Worcester School Department. She was a member of First Congregational Church of Rutland, its Monday Club and Tuesday Night Club. She was a member of the local Finnish-American Club and Persis Putnam Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.
  
  A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Monday in First Congregational Church of Rutland, 264 Main St. Burial was in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are 3 to 6 p.m. tomorrow at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Finnish-American Club, Sovittija Park, care of Gary Heiniluoma, Barre Road, Hubbardston, MA 01452; or First Congregational Church of Rutland, Memorial Fund, 264 Main St., Rutland, MA 01543.
