Subscription Update Obituary

   Dorothy V. (Lapham) Berg, 87, of the Christopher House, died there Saturday, Aug. 5. Her husband of 31 years, George Berg, died in 1983.

   She leaves five sons, Earle F. Colbert, Jr. of Shrewsbury, Gerald Berg of Spencer, Richard berg of Grand Jct., Colorado, Gary Colbert of Norco, CA and Dennis J. Colbert of Worcester; 14 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; 20 great great grandchildren; and her brother, Kenneth Lapham of Hement, CA. She was born in Brockton, MA, a daughter of Carl and Elizabeth (McNutt) Lapham and came to Worcester at age 10. She had been a matron at Fairlawn Hospital.

   The funeral will be held on Thursday, Aug. 10 at 11:00 AM in CASWELL-KING FUNERAL HOME, 474 Grove St., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Wednesday, Aug. 9 from 5-8 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to VNA Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608.
