Subscription Update Obituary

     Dorothy L. (Cresswell) McQuade, 80, of Worcester passed away in her sleep Thursday, August 30, 2012. Her husband William H. McQuade died in 1987. Dorothy is survived by her devoted daughters, Dianne M. Sidloski of Uxbridge; Deborah A. Dyer and her fiancé James Wytrwal of South Barre; and her son Kevin P. McQuade of Harlingen, Texas. Dorothy is also survived by her brothers, Deacon William H. Cresswell of Boynton Beach, Florida, Howard Cresswell of Eliot, Maine and David Cresswell of Webster; six grandchildren Tracy Vaudrain, Robert P. Sidloski Jr., Stephanie Dyer, Jason McQuade, Anthony McQuade, and Vangie McQuade; thirteen great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
     Dorothy was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Howard and Gertrude (Carlson) Cresswell, and lived here most of her life. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant at several nursing homes and private home care. Dorothy served on the Board of Directors for the Legal Aid Society of Central Mass for 9 years, and was a member of Saint Joan of Arc Church. Hobbies included knitting, crocheting, doll making, and baking. Most of all, Dorothy cherished the time spent with family and friends.
     A funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday at 10:00AM at St Joan of Arc Church 570 Lincoln St., Worcester (relatives and friends are asked to go directly to church). There are no calling hours. Burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton will be at the family’s convenience. The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St., Worcester is assisting the family with arrangements.
