Subscription Update Obituary

    Dorothy L. (Allen) Fields, 78, of Worcester died Friday, April 2, 2010 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center. Her husband of 49 years, Richard H. Fields died in 1997.

    She leaves five children, Robert M. Fields of Millbury, Steven A. Fields of Wor- cester, Gary T. Fields of Worcester, Gayle F. Crowley of Templeton and Richard P. Fields of Worcester; two brothers, Edward Allen and his wife Joyce and George Allen and his wife Rita; two daughters-in-law, Donna Fields and Patricia Fields; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A son, John E. Fields; three brothers, Thomas Allen, Ronald Allen and Earl Allen; and four sisters, Anita Beauchene, Norma St. Francis, Doreen Chagnon and Lorraine Bleau predeceased her.

    She was born in Worcester, daughter of Thomas P. and Doris (Cormier) Allen and graduated from Commerce High School. Dorothy worked for many years for the former Jamesbury Company and later worked for several years for Building 19. She was a member of St. John's Church.

    The Funeral will be held Wednesday, April 7, from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10 AM in St. John's Church, 40 Temple St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting Hours will be held Tuesday, April 6 from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to NEADS, 305 Redemption Rock Trail North, Princeton, MA 01541.
