Dorothy E. (Olson) Johnson, 90, died peacefully on Friday, July 13, 2018 at the Hannah B.G. Shaw Home in Middleborough.  She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Bror and Eva M. (Marsolais) Olson and enjoyed living in Holden for most of her life.

Dorothy was predeceased by her loving husband of 38 years, Egon M. Johnson in 1986.  She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Holly A. Burgess and her partner, Louis Daevis of Princeton; her son, Mark D. Johnson and his partner, Diane Butler of Newton, NH; her sisters, Jacqueline Bloise of Worcester and Carol McKinley of Maine; her sister-in-law, Carol Olson; her grandchildren, Courtney Mazyck and her husband, Shamont, Erika Johnson and Ian Johnson; her great grandchildren, Alex Mazyck, Tevin Mazyck and Quinn Kelsey; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy attended Holden Schools and married her high school sweetheart, the late Egon M. Johnson in 1950.  The couple settled in Holden where they raised their family.  Dorothy dedicated her life to her family and fully embraced her role as wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She had a passion for geneology and as a member of the American Canadian Genealogical Society, she was able to trace her family roots back to 16th century France.  Dorothy loved working in her garden.  She will be missed for her gentle nature and love of all children.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service honoring and celebrating Dorothy’s life at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 19th at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden.  Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton.
