Doris Newlands long time resident of Worcester, MA and most recently of Freeland WA passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Newlands; loving mother of Marsha Russell, Sheila Newlands and the late Wayne Newlands; dear mother-in-law of Allen Russell and the late Margaret Newlands; cherished grandmother of Michelle La Vallee, Michael Newlands, Keith Newlands and Jeffrey Russell. She had nine great grand children and one great-great grandchild.

     Being one of eight children she is a sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend to many. She will be greatly missed.

     She will be buried with her husband at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton, Massachusetts. There will be a graveside service on May 1, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers it is asked that donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
