Subscription Update Obituary

     Donna Nelson Dickie, 65, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 12, 2007 at her residence surrounded by her family.
    
Mrs. Dickie was born in Worcester, Mass. on May 3, 1942. She was employed with Wills Book Store and retired from Louise’s Hallmark Store. She was a caregiver for numerous school children and enjoyed needlepoint and crafts. She loved her family, friends and life, putting everyone first with support and comfort, while maintaining a positive attitude.
    
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald K. Nelson, and daughter Linda Jean Dickie. Mrs. Dickie is survived by her husband, Thomas R. Dickie of the home; daughter, Donna Jean Dickie Mills and husband Brant of Greensboro; son, Tommy Knight Dickie of Pleasant Garden; mother, Vivian Hall Nelson; brother, David Nelson and wife Karen; sister-in-law, Barbara Filippone; and a beloved grandson, Jacob Mills.
    
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15 at Alamance Presbyterian Church. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 17, at Worcester County Memorial Park Cemetery, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56) Paxton. 
    
The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 tonight at Forbis & Dick Funeral Home in Pleasant Garden. Memorials may be made to Hospice at Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, NC 27405. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden, is directing arrangements.
