Subscription Update Obituary

   Donald P. Vigliatura, 75, of 20 Ridge St., Worcester passed away on Friday, Dec. 29th at UMass Hospital surrounded by his loving family and friends.

   Donald was born on August 5, 1931 to Antoinette (Scalzo) Vigliatura and Louis E. Vigliatura, Sr. of Worcester. He graduated from Commerce High School in 1948 and completed evening courses at Clark University. He worked at Fresh Silks Company for 10 years, and was Vice President of Guaranty Bank for 15 years. His semi-retirement position was at St. Stephen's Church for 10 years. He, as a member of St. Stephen's Men's Club, helped to begin the very successful Bingo Program which ran for many years and also was an active member of the Bowling League and Pitch League of St. Stephen's Parish.
 
   Don is survived by his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth G. (O'Malley) Vigliatura; his two sons, Michael P. Vigliatura and Thomas J. Vigliatura; along with 3 daughters, Patricia A. Aboody, Kathleen E. DiGiorgio and Mary Ellen Stolarczyk; as well as his 4 grandchildren, Paul M. Aboody, Lyndsey E. DiGiorgio, Blake T. Aboody and Joseph J. DiGiorgio all of whom he was most proud. His oldest son, Donald P. Vigliatura, Jr. passed away Dec. 21, 1998. He really enjoyed his 3 sons-in-law, John J. DiGiorgio, Alan R. Stolarczyk and Paul Aboody. He leaves one brother, Louis E. Vigliatura, Jr. and sister-in-law, Mary (Generelli) Vigliatura of Grafton.

   Don especially loved trips to Atlantic City, Hampton Beach, deck sitting and cigar smoking with Paul Aboody. He will be sorely missed by his faithful companions, Peedee & Mugsey.

   Louis Fazio & Sons Funeral Home, 9 Branch St., Worcester is in charge of arrangements. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Mon. evening Jan. 1, 2007 from 5 to 7 p.m. and his funeral will be held at St. Stephen's Church, 16 Hamilton St., Worcester, MA Tues., Jan. 2nd at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Stephen's Restoration Fund, 16 Hamilton St., Worcester 01604.
