Subscription Update Obituary

Donald L. Letendre, 92, of Smithville Road died Tuesday, June 28, 2011 after an illness.

His wife Theresa M. (Paradis) Letendre died in 1990. He leaves a son Joseph D. Letendre and his wife Cynthia of Spencer, a daughter Janice A. Curtis and her husband Howard of East Brookfield, two brothers Wilrose Letendre and Robert Letendre both of Spencer, four sisters Pearl Mominee of Spencer, Pauline Paradis of Spencer, Mildred Lachambre of Brookfield and Joan Lusignan of East Brookfield, five grandchildren Judy, Mark, Brian, Donna and Brandy, 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by three brothers Paul, Milton & Norman Letrendre and a sister Rita Letendre.

Mr. Letendre was born in Spencer, son of Louis H. and Clara (Ledoux) Letendre. He was a machine operator for over 20 years at Flexcon before retiring. He served in the United States Army during WW II. He was a member of Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish and the American Legion Post 138. He enjoyed playing cards, shooting pool, horse racing, watching the Boston Red Sox and boxing.

The Funeral will be held Friday, July 1st at 1:00 PM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church Street, Spencer. Please go directly to church. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to UMass Memorial Hospice, 650 Lincoln St., Worcester, MA 01605. J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer is directing arrangements.
