Subscription Update Obituary

   Donald F. Lucier, Sr., 71, of 11 Marble St., passed away peacefully, Wednesday, August 2nd in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center.

   Donald is survived by his children: Cheryl A. Burke and her husband David, April J. Lucier, Donald Lucier, Jr., David and Dennis Lucier all of Worcester, and Rachel B. Fleck and her husband Barry of N. Grosvenordale, CT; two sisters, Evelyn Leduc of Worcester and Shirley McCarthy of Evart, MI; 14 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Four brothers, Albert, Richard, Raymond and Robert Lucier, and three sisters, Joan Carey, Marie Brodeur and Gloria Lambert all pre deceased him. He was born in Worcester a son of Raymond E. and Clara A. (Bird) Lucier, and had lived here all his life.

   Donald worked many years as a machinist for Suntek Corporation before retiring. He also at onetime worked for Lindquist Tool. He also did volunteer work for the PIP Shelter. He was a member of St. Stephen Church.

   Donald’s funeral will be held Monday, August 7th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a Mass at 10:00 a.m in St. John Church, 44 Temple St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Friends and family may pay their respects from 4 p.m to 7 p.m Sunday, August 6th in the funeral home. The family request flowers are omitted.
