Subscription Update Obituary

   Donald E. Provencal, 61, of the Bright-wood section of Springfield was Called Safely Home on Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008. He was born in Worcester on February 20, 1947, a beloved son of the late Emile C. and Helen (Woodbury) Provencal.

  He was raised in Worcester and moved to Springfield in 1972. He was employed at the Janlyn Company and Sunshine Village, both in Chicopee. He was a communicant of Saint Thomas the Apostle Church in West Springfield. He was a member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society of West Springfield and Agawam, the Emmanuel and Light of Christ Prayer Groups, the Marantha Voices and the Unico Club of West Springfield. He leaves many loving friends.

  His funeral will be held on Saturday morning, March 29, 2008 at 8:30 a.m. from the St. Pierre Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, 7 Chapin Terrace in Springfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Saint Thomas the Apostle Church, 63 Pine Street in West Springfield. His burial will be held on Monday, March 31, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at the Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue, Paxton, MA. His friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Saturday morning, March 29, 2008 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. before the Mass.
