Subscription Update Obituary

    Dolores R. (Gallant) Mattson, 71, of 72 Walnut St., passed away Monday, May 4, 2009 in her home. She leaves her husband of 52 years, John A. Mattson, Jr. and four daughters: Ann Marie wife of Robert Daigneault of Cherry Valley, Linda wife of Rod Riel of Cape Canaveral, FLA., Janet Miville of North Brookfield, and Lora wife of Robert Snyder of Oxford. She also leaves 5 grandchildren: Joshua Mattson, Elizabeth Coffey, Tyler Daigneault, Emily Miville, and Curtis Snyder; 2 brothers: Richard Gallant of Whitinsville and Robert Gallant of Rochdale; and many nieces and nephews. Dolores was predeceased by a granddaughter, Kathryn Grace Miville.

    She was born in Worcester daughter of Joseph and Rita (Robidoux) Gallant and has lived in Oxford for 44 years. She graduated from St. Peter's High School in Worcester and worked for several years at Wyman-Gordon Co. in Worcester. Dolores was a devote member of St Roch's Church.

    The Funeral will be Wednesday, May 6, 2009 with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. at St Roch's Church, 334 Main St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend visitation from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M. on Wednesday at the Robert J.Miller-Oxford Funeral Home, 247 Main St. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: VNA Care Hospice, 120 Thomas St, Worcester, MA 01608.
