Subscription Update Obituary

   Denise P. (Belanger) McShane, 57, formerly of Worcester, passed away Thursday, November 27, after a courageous battle with cancer. Her husband, Kirk V. McShane passed away in 2006.

   She leaves three brothers, Jay G. Belanger of Portland, OR, Daniel A. Belanger of Shrewsbury and Joel K. Belanger of Portland, OR; three sisters, Cheryl J. Menanson of Shrewsbury, Coleen B. Brewster of Ware and Gladys F. Magee of Randolph and many nieces and nephews.

   She was born in Worcester, the daughter of John G. and Gladys F. (Nutton) Belanger and graduated from Holy Name High School in Worcester. Denise was an Optician at Oregon Eye Specialists. She loved the great outdoors especially in the Pacific Northwest.

   The funeral will be held Wednesday, December 3 from FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 W. Boylston St., W. Boylston with a Mass at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St., W. Boylston. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, December 2 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 8 at 1:00 PM at Holman’s Funeral Service, Portland, OR. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VNA Care Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608 or to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, 4900 Hopyard Rd., Suite 100, Pleasanton, CA 94588, www.ovarian.org.
