Subscription Update Obituary

    Delores H. Lizotte, 73, of Worcester, died peacefully Thursday, July 30, 2009 in the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence.

    Delores is survived by a brother, Edgar Lizotte of Rutland, and a sister, Louise Lucier of Worcester, nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces. She was predeceased by a brother, Phillip Lizotte and a sister, Betty Mae Burke.

    Delores was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Alfred and Mildred (Shakette) Lizotte and lived here all her life. She was a graduate of David Hale Fanning Worcester Girls Trade School. For many years she was the owner and operator of Draperies by Delores before she retired, and also worked at the David Clark Company. Among her many interests she enjoyed painting, arts, crafts, knitting, and was also an avid bowler. Delores was a long time member of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, the Worcester Age Center, and also various bowling leagues. She will be missed by her family and friends.

    Delores' funeral will be held Monday, August 3, from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 AM in the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, 555 Pleasant St.

    Calling hours in the funeral home are 2-5 PM on Sunday. Interment will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
