Subscription Update Obituary

    Deborah R. (McManus) Fahlbeck, 51, of Worcester, died on Sunday, November 29th in her home surrounded by her loving family.

    Deborah is survived by two sons: Jeremy P. Fahlbeck of Worcester and his fiancé Andrea Bianca and Joshua M. Fahlbeck of Southbridge and his fiancé Jessica Coop; a brother, John B. “Jack” McManus III of Worcester; two sisters: Pamela Hultquist and Catherine Joseph, both of Worcester; a granddaughter, Alden Bianca and was expecting her first grandson within the next month; a cousin, Sonny Jankowski of Worcester; several nieces and nephews; including her two godchildren: Eric Joseph and Rachael Perry. Deborah is predeceased by her sister, Sharon Snow, who died in August, 2009.

    Deborah was married to Peter M. Fahlbeck for 29 years and was born in Worcester, daughter of the late John B. and Ruth (Holt) McManus. She graduated in 1976 from the David Hale Fanning Trade High School and after graduation Deborah also completed a post-graduate program to be a medical assistant.

    She worked for the United States Postal Service as a customer service supervisor for 21 years at the East Central Street Post Office. Deborah was a member of Saint Andrew the Apostle Church, the Women’s Guild and also volunteered as a CCD teacher. She belonged to the National Association of Postal Supervisors and volunteered at the Saint Andrew’s Seven Hills Bingo and the SERVE Program. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts, traveling, cooking and trips to the beach at Cape Cod, but was most happy when spending time with her family and especially her granddaughter.

    The funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 2nd, from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond Street with a Mass at 11 AM at Saint Andrew the Apostle Church, 5 Spaulding Street. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, December 1st from 4 to 7 PM in the funeral home.
