Subscription Update Obituary

Deborah A. “Ducky” (Veroneau) Swift, 64, passed away Wednesday, September 10 at her home, surrounded by her family.

She leaves her husband of 36 years, Paul B. Swift; two children, Kayla Swift and Paul Swift, Jr. both of Worcester; her granddaughter, Taylor Donovan who was her whole world; her mother, Joanne L. (Coffey) Wrixon of Worcester; three siblings, Daniel Wrixon, Jr. and his wife, Deirdre of Cohasset, John Veroneau and his wife Gloria of Worcester and Joseph Wrixon and his wife, Jennifer of Worcester. Her daughter, Danielle I. Swift, and her father, Daniel J. Wrixon predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late John Veroneau. She graduated from South High School.

Ducky was a waitress and bartender at Applebee’s and Friendly’s Restaurants both in Worcester. She enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends and the yearly family summer trip to Old Orchard Beach. Ducky also liked playing bingo and an occasional trip to the casino.

Visting Hours are Friday, September 19 from 9 to 11am with a Funeral Service at 11am in Callahan Fay Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St., Worcester, 01605.
