Subscription Update Obituary

   David W. Kennedy, Sr., 95, of 59 Wildwood Avenue, died Friday, Dec. 21, in his home, after an illness. His wife, Louise E. (Donahue) Kennedy died in 2004.

   He leaves two sons, David W. Kennedy, Jr. and his wife Mary of Winthrop and Daniel J. Kennedy and his wife Mary of Holden; a daughter, Sheila I. Altobelli and her husband James of North Brookfield; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by a son, Dennis R. Kennedy, who died in 2001 and several brothers and sisters.

   Mr. Kennedy was born in Worcester, son of James and Mary (Hoar) Kennedy. He was a Worcester City Police Officer for 37 years, retiring in 1975. He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church and a former member of the Knights of Columbus in Worcester. He loved the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. He enjoyed working around the house and gardening.

   The funeral will be held Monday, Dec. 24 from MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street, Worcester. Burial with military honors will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Sunday from 1:00-3:00 PM.
