Subscription Update Obituary

David E. Maylott, 65, of 221 Pine St., died Monday, July 4, 2011 at Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester.

He leaves his wife, Martina L. (Dunn) Salek; two sons, David M. Maylott of Anaheim, Calif. and Dean M. Maylott of Leicester; two daughters, Dale Ann Arai and her husband Joseph of Cypress, Calif. and Dawn Schirman of Seaside, Oregon; four step daughters: Laura Demerle and her husband Thomas of Sudbury, Christine Proffitt and her husband Jonathan of Westboro, Bethany Salek and her husband Andrew Salek of Leicester and Michelle Salek and her fiancé Christian Duprey of Marlboro, 13 grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Dave was a general contracting inspector for Mass. Highway (Mass. D.O.T.). Previously he was a land surveyor.

Born in Worcester, he was the son of Ernest and Agnes (Turner) Maylott.

He was a member of the Mass. Organization of State Engineers & Scientist. At onetime, he was an avid golfer and bowler. Most recently, he found enjoyment in camping and fabricating stained glass.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 9 at 10 a.m. in MORRISON-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Friday, July 8 from 4 to 7 p.m.
