“Cee Dee” Sullivan, as he was know to his crew, served in the Pacific Theater during WWII with the 7th Army Air Force, 11th Bomber Group, 431st Bomber Squadron. Achieving the rank of Sargent, he was the radio operator and “waist” gunner on the B-24J Liberator Heavy Bomber “A-Tiskit-A-Taskit a GI Casket” (for Tojo). He was wounded during a bombing run by enemy anti-aircraft fire (flak) and received the Purple Heart.
