Constance "Connie" Breidenbach died peacefully after a short illness on Sunday, November 22, 2009, a week before her 83rd birthday.

Connie was born in Tampa, FL to Chester and Margaret Williams. She attended the University of Minnesota and was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority.

She married Robert Breidenbach on October 30, 1948 and enjoyed 44 years of married life until Bob's death in 1992.

Connie leaves behind her son William R. Breidenbach of Northborough, MA; her daughter Jean A. Breidenbach of Worcester, MA. She is also survived by her sister, Margaret Stitler of Washington; and her brothers and their wives, Robert and Raemah Williams of New Hampshire; Cy and Nitsa Williams of Indiana and her four grandsons, Daniel, Yeager, James and Peter Breidenbach.

Together, Connie and her husband founded an insurance business based in Worcester in the late 1970s. Connie lived in Worcester and Sarasota, FL. She was a member of Central Congregational Church in Worcester. She was an enthusiastic golfer and a former member of Tatnuck Country Club in Worcester and The Meadows in Sarasota. She was also an active member of the P.E.O. Sorority in Sarasota.

Connie was especially proud of her attainment of the title "Life Master" in bridge. She reached this goal with the encouragement of her great friend, Nancy Brown. She enjoyed a wide circle of friends, many of which were life-long friends.

A memorial service will be held at United Congregational Church, 6 Institute Road, Worcester, MA at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 3, 2009. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Briarwood Residents Fund or The Salvation Army. Caswell-King Funeral Home 474 Grove St. Worcester is directing arrangements.
