Clark A. LaTour, Sr., 67, of Worcester, died on Friday, January 23, 2009, in the University of Massachusetts Hospital, after a long illness.
He leaves his dear companion, Barbara D. (LaPan) Record, of Auburn; 3 children: Debra A. Monahan and her husband, Daniel, of Sutton, Clark A. LaTour, Jr., and his wife, Julie (Smolskis), of Auburn, and Craig A. LaTour and his wife, Alessandra (Sarrica), of Worcester; 5 grandchildren: David Heckman, Jr., Daniel Heckman, and Luke LaTour, all of Worcester, and Michael LaTour and Justine LaTour, both of Auburn; a great-grandson, Evan Heckman of Worcester; 2 brothers: Aime LaBonte of Sturbridge and Lawrence Bernard of Macon, GA; 3 sisters: Rose Perry of Leicester, Jeannette Love in OH, and Linda Ericson of Panacea Breeze, FL; and nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester on September 6, 1941, a son of the late Charles E. and Beatrice R. (Bertrand) LaTour, and, though he lived for several years in Millbury, Maine and New Hampshire, he lived most of his life in Worcester.
Mr. LaTour was a mechanic for many years at Patrick Motors, Worcester. He also owned and operated The Bargain Center in Worcester and Leicester, where he refinished and sold antiques. While in New Hampshire, he was a school bus driver for Laidlaw Trans. Co.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, January 30, in St. Brigid Catholic Church, 59 Main St., Millbury. He will then be laid to rest with his parents in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours. Please omit flowers. Turgeon Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Millbury, is helping his family with the arrangements.
