Chester N. Gabrielle, 79, formerly of 126 Orient St., passed away, Tuesday, March 6th in the University of Massachusetts Hospital.

Chester is survived by two sisters: Florence M. Lapriore and her husband Pat with whom he lived, Mildred P. "Millie" Stapor and a brother, Roy Gabriel and his wife Joan, all of Worcester; many nieces and nephews, including Michael and Mark Lapriore. Three brothers: Leonard, Kenneth and John Gabriella, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, a son of Frank and Mary P. (Belsito) Gabriel, and has lived here all his life.

Chester worked more than 25 years for the Worcester State Hospital in the Dietary Department before retiring. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church.

The funeral will be held Thursday, March 8th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. A period of calling hours will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home prior to the funeral.
