Subscription Update Obituary

Cheryl D. Ward, age 74, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 11th, 2024 at UMass Medical Center – University Campus in Worcester. Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Barbara (Baker) Ward.

Cheryl graduated from South High School in Worcester and went on to be a LPN at Hahnemann Hospital and UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester. She was a lifelong and active member of the Unitarian Universalist Church in Worcester where she was very involved and really enjoyed the friendship with Pastor Aaron Payson. Her life revolved around her family whom she loved.

Cheryl is survived by her loving husband, Stephen McNally; 2 sons, Daniel Meagher and his wife, Jennifer of Sterling, Michael Meagher and his wife, Lara of Fairfax, VA; a daughter, Bridget Meagher of Worcester; a brother, Wayne Ward and his wife, Beverly of Leicester; 2 sisters, Donna Kowszik and Beverly Ward; and many loving grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her daughter, Kerri Quinlan, her brother, Joe Ward, and her sister, Patricia Dolan.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Cheryl’s family from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Wednesday, October 16th, at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm at the funeral home with burial following at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton.
