Subscription Update Obituary

    Charlotte M. (Bengtson) Friberg, 88, of Shrewsbury St., died peacefully on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 in Radius Healthcare Center, Worcester.

    She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, George H. Friberg; two daughters, Carron Mentzer and her husband Stephen of Jefferson and Susanne Morrison and her husband Vincent of Newport News, VA; a brother, Harold W. Bengtson, Jr. and his wife Kathleen R. of Holden; two grandchildren, Scott S. Mentzer and his wife Jill of Holden and Michelle C. Forsman of Worcester; a great granddaughter, Holly Forsman of Worcester; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a brother, David Bengtson. She was born and raised in Holden the daughter of Harold W. and Rose Florence (Bergstrand) Bengtson.

    Mrs. Friberg graduated from Holden High School and Felton Terrant Office Machine School. Prior to becoming a fulltime homemaker, she worked for the Planning Department at Norton Company. She was a member of the Belmont Baptist Church and longtime member of its choir. She will be dearly missed by her family.

    The Family would like to extend a special thank you for the loving care from the staff at Summit ElderCare and Radius Healthcare Center.

    Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 3 to 5 on Saturday, April 3rd, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. The funeral for Mrs. Friberg will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 5th, in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Summit ElderCare, 277 East Mountain St., Worcester, MA 01606; or to Radius Healthcare, Activity Fund, 119 Providence St, Worcester, MA 01604.
