Subscription Update Obituary

   Charlotte C. (Erickson) Popowicz, 90, of Worcester, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, April 19th at Saint Mary's Healthcare Center.

   Her husband, Theodore A. Popowicz, died in 1999. She is survived by three sons: Alan T. Popowicz of Leicester, Robert A. Popowicz and Paul A. Popowicz, both of Worcester; two daughters: Donna-Marie Marhefka of Worcester and Charlene Carrington of Leicester; a sister, Arlene Uppstrom of Sutton; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

   Mrs. Popowicz was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Fitzgerald) Erickson and she is also predeceased by three brothers: Reinholdt Erickson, James Erickson, and Robert Erickson; two sisters: Rita Macomber and Grace Gamache and a grandson, Kenneth.

   Charlotte was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church. She was an artist and enjoyed gardening, flowers and animals.

   A funeral will be held on Thursday, April 23rd from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond Street, Worcester with a Mass at 11 AM at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 22nd from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association, 720 Harrison Avenue, Boston, MA 02118.
