Subscription Update Obituary

  Charles W. Broyles Sr., 68, of 25 Preston St., a truck driver, died at home Wednesday morning after an illness.

  He leaves his wife of 47 years, Carrie B. (Robinson) Broyles; three sons, Charles W. Broyles Jr. of Orlando, Fla. and E. Lee Broyles and John W. Broyles, both of Worcester; two daughters, Shirley A. Purnell of Worcester and Deborah J. Broyles of San Francisco; two sisters, Evelyn Adamson and Mary Westfield, both of Boston; four grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Cleveland, Tenn., son of William and Lillie Mae Westfield) Broyles and lived here for 55 years. He was in the Army during World War II.

  He was a truck driver for 40 years for ACME Prepack Corp., Worcester Fruit Co., MacKoul's Food Co. and Si's Fruit. He worked for Astelle Richmond Catering for 10 years. He drove a charter bus for Gulbankian Bus Co. of Southboro and the White Bus Co., of Upton and the Worcester Boys Club.
