Subscription Update Obituary

Charles Tracy Whitten, 70, died Thursday, Sept 29th, 2011 in the Life Care Center in Auburn.

He leaves three children: Charles Tracy Whitten Jr. of Grafton, Lynn and Donna Whitten of Millbury; three granddaughters; a brother, Paul Whitten of California; three sisters: Elizabeth Berthiaume of Auburn, Carolyn Stohlberg of Florida and Ruth Majewski of RI; nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester and is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Clemence (Grandchamp) Whitten; his wife, Elaine (Millward) Whitten and two brothers: Richard Whitten and William Whitten.

He was a skilled carpenter and a Navy SeaBee serving two tours in Vietnam, during the war.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3rd in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave. in Paxton. A calling hour will be held from 11 a.m. to Noon Monday, Oct. 3rd in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Activity Fund of the Auburn Life Care Center, 14 Masonic Dr., Auburn, MA 01501.
