Subscription Update Obituary

     Mr. Charles “Buddy” Gabriella, 76, passed away Tuesday May 20th with a heavy heart after burying his wife, Sallie (Makie) Gabriella the day before.

     He leaves two sons, Joseph Gabriella and his wife Kimberly of Millbury, Paul Gabriella and his wife Heather of Ct.; three daughters, Dianne Jones and her husband Ronald of Westminster, JoAnne Carlson of Arizona, and Lori Venie of New Hampshire; a sister, Carol Chevalier and her husband Gary of Millbury; a brother in law, Dick Stowell of Worcester, 15 grandchildren, and his dear and closest friend, Frank Corridori and his wife Anita of Worcester; many nieces, nephews and extended family.

     He was pre-deceased by his sister, Helen Stowell.

     Buddy was born December 5, 1937 in Worcester, Massachusetts a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Pingitore) Gabriella.

     Buddy was a graduate of Commerce High School. His work career expanded over forty years with jobs as a computer programmer at Sunshine Biscuit, Big D. and most recently Staples Corp. up until his retirement.

     But his real love was playing the accordion, in his band called The Fabulads. The band played in many wedding venues and for many years as the house band at the Froshian Club in Shrewsbury and Dorays in Spencer. The holidays and any family events at the lake house always included Buddy playing the accordion.

     His funeral will take place on Friday May 23rd at FAZIO FUNERAL HOME, 9 Branch St Worcester. A funeral mass will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St Worcester at 10:00am. Interment will be in Worcester County Memorial Park Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Thursday, May 22nd from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the Funeral Home. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, memorial donations may be made in Buddy’s memory to the American Lung Association of the Northeast, Waltham, Ma. 02451. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Louis M.
