Charles J. Carpenter, 70, of Southbridge, died on Friday, December 15th, in Saint Vincent Hospital.
Mr. Carpenter is survived by a brother, Phil Carpenter of Worcester; two sisters Rose Landroche of Worcester and Helen Dupuis of West Boylston and several nephews and nieces. Mr. Carpenter is predeceased by three brothers, Leo Carpenter, George Carpenter and Frank Carpenter and five sisters, Laurenda Mason, Mary Brewster, Lorraine Dupuis, Victoria Perry and Blanche Barney.
Mr. Carpenter was born in Worcester, son of George and Irene (Blais) Carpenter and worked for over 40 years at the Rand Whitney Company before retiring in 1998. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Charlton and enjoyed fishing, birds and going to yard sales.
The funeral will be held on Monday, December 18th, from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond St., Worcester with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 10 H Putnam Rd., Ext., Charlton. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 17th, from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 31160, Hartford, CT 06150.
