Charles H. Klippel, M.D., 87, of Paxton passed away Thursday, October 
11, 2007 at UMASS Medical Center.

    He leaves his wife of 63 years, Anna May Newton, M.D.  He was born in 
Sioux City IA. Dr. Klippel and Dr. Newton were long time residents of 
Toledo, Ohio, where he practiced pediatric surgery and served on the 
faculty of the Medical College of Ohio at Toledo.  He attended Harvard 
College and Ohio State University and graduated from Ohio State 
Medical School in 1945. Dr. Klippel was an avid reader and writer, who 
also enjoyed speaking as an active member of the Torch Club in Toledo 
and Worcester.

    Dr. Klippel also leaves two children: his daughter Alice Livdahl, who 
with her husband Todd Livdahl and daughter Emily live in Paxton, and 
his son Charles Klippel, who lives in Avon CT with his wife Lee 
Klippel and their daughter Lee Case.  He is also survived by his 
brother, Rugh Klippel and his wife, Dorothy, of Basking Ridge, NJ; and 
his brother-in-law, Melvin Lee and his wife, Frances, of Baca Raton, FL.
